    Bio-Rad is seeking a Director of National Sales for our Clinical Diagnostics Group.

    This position is located at our US headquarters in Hercules, CA.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead 8 regions and 100+ sales professionals in the Clinical Diagnostics group while inspiring exceptional financial performance and customer satisfaction.
    • Formulate business strategy that can translate into tactical sales plans that meet or exceed annual goals.
    • Direct the sales management team to exceed sales plans while effectively managing price and operating expenses to exceed profitability targets.
    • Provide input to the creation of sales quotas, compensation plans and training programs that support group strategy.
    • Discover and communicate insights into unmet customer needs and engage fellow business leaders to influence and drive business strategy.
    • Collaborate across functions to drive continuous improvement of selling processes.
    • Build trust-based, collaborative, sustainable relationships with all employees and leaders across functions.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a scientific discipline; MBA preferred.
    • 12+ years of clinical diagnostic sales experience with a consistent track record of success in roles with progressively increasing responsibility, up to and including managing managers.
    • Advanced knowledge of US clinical diagnostic markets, customers and competitors.
    • Experience mentoring and developing staff spanning individual contributor and management levels.
    • Ability to influence and collaborate across reporting lines.
    • Advanced knowledge and application of contemporary CRM systems, ERP systems and sales training strategies.
    • Solid data analysis and reporting skills.
    • Strong negotiation, communication and presentation skills; ability to convey complex information with simplicity and clarity; experienced and comfortable presenting to senior management audiences.
    • Demonstrated ability to build consultative, collaborative relationships with co-workers and leaders across all levels.
