Bio-Rad Laboratories is looking to recruit a motivated, positive and result oriented BioParma Account Manager for the Nordic region.

 

As a BioPharma Account Manager your main function is to sell the Bio-Rad product lines to meet the territory sales goals and grow the business in your assigned territory. You will work as part of a high-functioning team including Field Application Specialists, Inside Sales and Product Managers. The position encompasses prospection of new customers, qualification of prospects, analyses of needs and proposal elaboration, sales negotiation, sales maintenance, contract management (renewal and extensions) activities with existing and new customers, to develop trust and business volume, protecting margins and developing customer satisfaction and Bio-Rad’s brand image.

 

This Account Manager role is field based and includes about 30 % travel with overnight stay, therefore a location close to an international airport within the territory is key.

Your responsibilities:  

  • Achieve sales targets in allocated territories and with assigned customers
  • Take ownership of the entire sales cycle for instrumentation, consumables and service.
  • This includes prospecting for new opportunities, building value in Bio-Rad’s technology with the customer, attending / supporting instrument demonstrations, accurately maintaining opportunities in our CRM (SFDC), reviewing opportunity funnel / forecasting with manager and closing new business
  • Develop and maintain relationships with BioPharma accounts, visiting customers on a regular basis at their accounts and/or at scientific conferences and meetings
  • Execute the sales strategy in alignment with the EMEA BPA Sales Leadership, local EMEA Marketing teams and the global Life Science division
  • Identify new business and sales opportunities across all Bio-Rad Life Science product portfolio
  • Facilitate customer queries and work with relevant business partners to ensure customer success, ensuring that all necessary resources are used efficiently in order to increase Bio-Rad Life Science business
  • Work closely with the local Field Application Specialists, the BioPharma Sales Specialists and other internal stakeholders to ensure a superior customer experience
  • Report in to the EMEA BioPharma Sales Manager based in Germany

Qualifications:  

  • Preferred Master’s degree or equivalent in a life science or related field
  • Proven successful field sales experience selling capital instrumentation (€100K+) and reagents in life science to biotech/pharmaceutical companies - – may consider related biological/analytical field sales support experience in lieu of direct sales experience
  • Knowledge of Cell and Gene Therapy as experience selling into regulated environments (FDA / EMA)
  • Proficient in MS Office and Salesforce
  • Proficiency in organizing time and territory activities in order to efficiently maximize sales results
  • Ability to increase sales and customer penetration while working with multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluent in English and at least one other Nordic language
