Overview

We currently have an excellent opportunity for a dynamic sales professional to join our Life Sciences team. The role is based in Melbourne and covers the Western territory of Victoria.  The role will be responsible for selling and supporting Bio-Rad's flagship industry leading products that include, DNA and Protein Imagers, qPCR instrumentation, our Flagship Droplet Digital PCR portfolio, and associated consumables.

 

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager (South), you will be responsible for designing and successfully implementing a sales management plan, satisfying client needs and expectations as well as meeting and exceeding sales targets in an established territory.

 

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Building and maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Achieving sales targets and maintaining a growing customer data base
  • Spending at least 70% of time visiting current and prospective customers
  • Applying CRM Management tools to improve prospecting and opportunity pipeline
  • Development and implementation of an effective territory management plan 
  • Participation in seminars, demonstrations, and presentations to customers
  • Customer problem solving and troubleshooting.

 

What You Bring: 

  • A Life Science or related degree
  • A minimum of 2 years sales experience in the Life Science or related Industry
  • Preferably at least 2 years relevant laboratory experience
  • A passion to provide a high standard of customer service  
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Excellent negotiation skills 
  • A willingness to travel to regional Victoria and occasionally interstate
