This position is to be responsible for overall accounting, financial reporting and controls for Taiwan.
Manage & lead Finance team to ensure all corporate, regional and statutory reports are compiled accurately and submitted in a timely manner.
Ensure compliance with Company management reporting & policies including internal controls and statutory reporting requirements.
Provide financial leadership. This includes financial planning and analysis at the front end of the business, drive internal controls review and leading process improvement initiatives and budgeting/forecasting process.
A key member of the management team. Actively involved in strategic business decision-making
Contribute to driving process improvement, system enhancements and maintain a strong control environment
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Accounting and Reporting –
- Ensure whole TW daily accounting operation to support the TW business operational needs which including the PTP, OTC, treasury etc.
- Provide accurate & timely financial and management reporting to the management.
- Statutory reporting including annual tax filing, other tax filing and other statutory reporting.
- Responsible for Month/Quarter/Year end closing per global timeline and ensure all reporting and reconciliations are submitted in time.
- Ensure all statutory reports are submitted and filed in time with no issue.
- Be key member on APAC centralization team and drive the working efficiency and reporting integrity.
- Financial Management –
- Ensure prudent financial practices are observed, in compliance with company policy.
- Cash flow management including account receivables collection, credit limit/term management.
- Monitor operating & capital spending.
- Drives cost saving opportunities to meet targets/objectives.
- Responsible for Payroll and related employees annual filing to tax authorities
- Liaise and work with all external financial institutions like bankers, tax agents etc to achieve the company requirements.
- Projects and business partnership
- Drive projects such as rolling out ERP system enhancement, streamlining of processes.
- Support Commercial team to help assess pricing deals, expense budgeting/tracking and customer credit limit & term. Involve in margin analyses, price/volume analyses and insight into sales.
- Ad hoc financial analysis - development and reporting of key sales, financial and operating metrics which support strategy and business operations.
- Co-ordinate with Commercial team on sales KPI/targets and compute quarterly Sales bonus payout
- Support Functional Managers on finance related and ad hoc projects.
- Involve in projects as and when assigned
- Budgeting and Planning –
- Support the planning & budgeting, forecast process to meet deadline in ad hoc basis.
- Partner with other functional managers to achieve the plan objectives.
- Strategic planning including annual budgeting, forecasting & business analysis in a timely manner in ad hoc basis.
- Involved in budgeting, forecasting, providing analysis such as variance analysis in ad hoc basis.
- Control and Compliance –
- Implement and enforce SOX Internal Controls and ensure compliance.
- Ensure compliance to Corporate & local guidelines, controls, policies and procedures.
- Maintain accounting policies and standard operating procedures. Lead process improvement, standardization and simplification to drive productivity, efficiency and accuracy.
- Fiscal oversight to drive a strong controls environment to ensure we are compliant against the regulatory requirement.
- Leads key controls walkthrough with internal & external auditors
- Leadership and People management
- Recruit, train and manage talent. Supervision of finance team
- Lead & manage finance team to achieve agreed individual and team targets.
- Conduct performance reviews.
- Provide leadership & guidance to the finance team.
What You Bring:
- University degree or equivalent with major in Accounting/finance
- Professional qualification in Accounting/Finance: CPA
- Prior big 4 experience background would be an added advantage
- A minimum of 10 years appropriate experience in accounting/finance
- ERP system experience at the implementation would be an added advantage
