Overview

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Manage staff and 3PL operations for Japan in the purchasing, receiving, storing, dispensing, transferring and/or shipping of materials in compliance with all regulations and procedures.
  • Partner with all key stakeholders in the company to ensure top of the class fulfillment and within budget.
  • Ensure that the appropriate structure and required systems are in place to meet the increased demand of the function.
  • Partner and manage 3PL Operation and to maintain strong relationship with other 3PLs to ensure back up plan the future needs of Bio-Rad in terms of warehousing, distribution & transport, when required.
  • Provide regular Management Reporting and Analysis for the Japan Operations (Operation KPIs and Finance KPIs).

  • Comprehensive knowledge of warehousing & transportation issues, with solid capability in the logistics arena
  • Leadership Skills
  • A proven record of working successfully in the design and implementation of value-added processes
  • IT literacy related to the position

  • Hands-on ability whenever needed
  • Problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Collaboration in a global and regional matrix organization
  • Excellent English competency(Business level) as well as Japanese native level
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in logistics operations using SAP systems.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience managing a 3PL Operation
  • Logistics, Transport, Distribution and Finance experience
  • Work experience under a matrix organization
  • Preferable: Cold-Chain experience & in the Healthcare industry (Life Science and Diagnostics)
