Overview

The EMEA Payroll Supervisor position is a leadership opportunity focused on supporting management and elevating our regional payroll processing in Europe, Middle East, and Africa. The EMEA Payroll Supervisor is a role that supports EMEA Scope of countries. The position will also play a key role in supporting the end-to-end payroll process outsourced to our 3rd party vendors to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance in multiple countries. The EMEA Payroll Supervisor will be a part of the Global Finance Shared Services organization.

 

How You’ll make an impact:

  • Participate in ongoing internal process improvements.

Ensure accurate and timely processing of the Company’s payroll in EMEA countries:

  • Payroll issues are escalated and resolved with root cause analysis and corrective action for all levels of employees and management, with a focus on ensuring a positive and seamless employee experience in partnership with HR Shared Services. Responsible for day-to-day oversight for issues and positive seamless
  • Oversee the timely preparation, processing, maintenance and appropriate distribution of payroll information, payroll reports, all tax year end reports, payroll manuals and related payroll working instructions
  • Establish partnerships with third party vendors to ensure effective service delivery
  • Be a back up for the payroll team (end to finish payroll process)
  • Ensure payroll services are processed in accordance with established global policies and procedures along with all legislative compliance requirements (including tax and labor laws)
  • Directs and audits payroll procedures to include earnings, garnishments, tax withholding, and absence processing and ensure compliance with organizational procedures
  • Work closely with Legal, Compliance, and Benefits teams to identify, resolve, and avoid payroll compliance issues
  • Identify and drive continuous performance improvement projects to improve payroll accuracy, compliance, productivity and / or employee satisfaction within EMEA
  • Ensure end-to-end processes are well-thought through to address customer and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and implement best practices, key performance indicators and SLA metrics for department
  • Support payroll manager with team’s development to optimize operational excellence and create a deeper bench of experienced talent
  • Manage projects across multi-disciplinary functions of Payroll within allotted timeframes and budgets
  • Maintains confidentiality of any payroll, private employee information and any proprietary information and ensures payroll information is secure

  • Assigns daily work to employees across functional area
  • Address performance issues
  • Approves vacation requests
  • Determines initial and on-going training requirements to run an efficient operation

 

What You’ll bring: 

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience & CIPP certification 
  • Additional degrees/certifications such as: MBA, Six Sigma, etc. enhance candidacy
  • 7 -10 years of relevant experience in payroll in a diverse, complex global enterprise, 2-3 years of experience in managing a small team (1-3 direct reports)
  • Fluent (both orally and in writing) in English and German
  • Experience with German speaking countries
  • Experience in managing third-party payroll services providers
  • Experience working in systems such as SAP, SuccessFactors, ADP Celergo & ADP Global View, ADP E-Time and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in payroll system implementation – data validation and data analysis, implementation of Payroll Internal Controls and Procedures
  • Knowledge and experience with stock, travel and time and attendance programs
  • Proactive, motivated, results oriented individual capable of partnering with diverse perspectives and backgrounds to negotiate positive outcomes that impact the work of internal, external and cross-functional partners
  • Demonstrated focus on providing an excellent employee experience
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, complex, and highly matrixed environment
  • Strong process redesign and/or efficiency
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to confidently present complex information to all levels of the organization is required
  • Strong leadership skills
