Overview

We are seeking a Sr. Finance Manager to support  Global Supply Chain’s (GSC) VP of Global Operations CDG and team. As the strategic finance business partner, you'll be at the forefront!  Your financial insight and strategic guidance will be crucial in driving decision-making, achieving our financial goals, and boosting productivity across various manufacturing sites. Partnering with the Lean group, you'll tackle consumables, controls, and instrumentation challenges head-on.
 
You'll be the go-to expert for financial advice, covering finance operations, cost accounting, financial targets, and analyzing the impact of productivity and efficiency initiatives on our financial statements. Ensuring strong financial controls, compliance, and delivering timely, accurate financial information will be your forte.
 
Moreover, you'll deploy cost targets, identify and implement improvement opportunities across multiple manufacturing sites. Evaluating inventory positions, turnover, and excess and obsolete reserves will be part of your monthly routine. With a high sense of ownership, you'll be responsible for budget planning, forecasting, annual standard cost processes, and monthly financial reporting, with a deep understanding of actual deviations and forward-looking visibility.

How You’ll Make An Impact: 

  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for the GSC Global Operations CDG organization. Provide in-depth analysis of cost opportunities that will result in margin expansion initiatives, identifying trends, variances, and analytics cost optimization, productivity and inflationary mitigation actions. Work closely with the Operations group to ensure robust processes and tools are in place for efficient availability of timely and high-quality financial data as well as actionable insights to leadership for critical financial and business management decisions. 
  • Business Partnering: Act as a trusted advisor to GSC Operations leadership, providing financial insights and strategic guidance to support decision-making. Advocate for the business and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Engineering, Quality, Lean, Global Operations groups; and the broader GSC organization, in order to build credibility and trust with partner functions by becoming deeply knowledgeable about standard costs, variable vs. fixed costs, materials, labor and overhead spend and capital projects, as well and financial and business implications. 
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present weekly, monthly and quarterly financial reports to Global Operations leadership and other stakeholders. Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and decision-making. 
  • Cost Management: Monitor standard costs, and control costs and expenses, ensuring alignment with budget and strategic objectives. Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements. Manage through trade off decisions across spend areas to maximize budget use. 
  • Strategic Initiatives: Support the development and execution of strategic initiatives, including new initiatives such as insourcing/outsourcing initiatives, product transfers, new product costing, etc. Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business cases and investment decisions in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with financial and accounting policies, procedures, and regulations. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.

What You Bring:

We are seeking a Senior Finance leader who is a creative problem solver capable of transforming our current tools and processes. The ideal candidate must be engaged, flexible, and capable of building relationships with internal and external customers, as well as finance and non-finance business partners. You will need to develop an in-depth knowledge of your customers and the product development process to effectively support their business needs and provide accurate forecasts. We value highly motivated, curious, and technically proficient individuals with a strong sense of ownership and business ethics to deliver quality work consistently. A strong analytical background and strict attention to detail are essential. As a proactive leader, you should exhibit strong influencing capabilities with business partners and maintain open and transparent communication across the organization.

Required:

  • Education: BS/BA in Accounting, Finance or related field; advanced degree a plus. 
  • Work Experience: 10+ years of progressive finance experience with increased responsibilities, supervising global groups and having P&L responsibility, and management experience in an accounting or finance role, either in public accounting or corporate finance.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, inspire, lead and develop staff. 
  • Detail oriented with attention to process and documentation in addition to accuracy. 
  • Strong Excel skills (PivotTables, Sumifs, Sumproduct). 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to clearly convey monthly reporting to stakeholders. 
  • Ability to translate GAAP terms to non-accounting partners. 
  • Ability to manage deadlines from multiple project streams. 
  • Hands-on; must have a willingness to become involved in the details of the operations to ensure accurate information is provided to the business partners. 
  • Experience with Enterprise level Accounting and Planning software desired; SAP knowledge, Oracle Reporting Tool (EPB) preferred, and PowerBI or related preferred.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $174,600 to $218,000 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
