The Internal Auditor role is responsible for assisting in the assessment of SOX processes and controls through participation in walkthroughs and execution of control testing procedures as assigned by the Internal Audit Manager or Senior Auditors. This role will also assist the Internal Audit team in the planning and execution of operational or financial risk-based audits.
How You Will Make an Impact:
- Assists or independently audits department records and interviews staff to ensure complete recording of transactions and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Reviews and analyzes data obtained for evidence of deficiencies in controls, duplication of effort, extravagance, fraud, or lack of compliance with laws, government regulations, and management policies or procedures.
- Assists or independently examines department activities for compliance with management plans and policies.
- Assists in preparing audit findings and documents initials recommendation for management.
- Prepares and submits audit findings and makes recommendations to management.
- Conducts or assists on special studies for management such as those required to discover mechanics of detected fraud and to develop controls for fraud prevention.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferably in Accounting or Business Administration.
- 2+ years related experience preferably in Big4.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical, project management, planning, organization, documentation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley and COSO framework.
- Familiarity with US GAAP.
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance issues.
- MBA, ACCA, CIA or CISA certifications (or EU equivalents) are preferred.
- SAP experience a plus.
- Experience with automation tools such as Microsoft Power Automate to streamline audit processes and enhance efficiency.
- Familiarity with ACL Analytics (Galvanize/HighBond) or similar data analysis tools for audit testing, data extraction, and risk assessment.
