Bio-Rad is looking for a Procurement Manager (100%) for its site in Cressier/FR.

 

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Management of Regional Commodity Teams: Lead and support the EMEA commodity team to ensure effective procurement strategies and operations
  • Supply Assurance: Act as the primary escalation point for supply assurance issues, ensuring that materials are available to meet production schedules
  • Material Cost Productivity (MCP): Develop and implement strategies to achieve cost savings and improve material cost productivity at the site level
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Maintain and develop strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure the best terms and conditions for the company
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain to ensure continuity of supply
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure advantageous terms
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement activities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as production, quality, and finance, to ensure alignment of procurement activities with overall business objectives
  • Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, a Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is a plus
  • Proven experience in procurement, with a focus on direct materials, experience in managing teams and working in a manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Confirmed negociation, communication and leadership skills
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, strong organizational and project management skills, ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools
