Field Application Specialist - Life Sciences

Due to an internal promotion, we currently have an excellent opportunity for a dynamic Field Applications Specialist to join our Life Sciences team This role may be based in either Sydney or Melbourne and supports our customer base across Australia and New Zealand.

Reporting to the Field Applications Manager, you will be responsible for providing technical and application support to our customers and further assist our Account Managers (pre and post sales). Significant travel is a requirement of this role and industry knowledge and professional affiliations will be highly regarded.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

• Provide in field application, training support and troubleshooting to internal / external customers
• Develop training programs for organisational members and customers
• Conduct system seminars, installations, training and connectivity solutions
• Provide high level technical support to our customers
• Support new product launches
• Support sales personnel pre and post sale

What You Bring: 

• Minimum 3+ years technical experience in a life science laboratory, with strong technical understanding of laboratory procedures and changing trends
• Minimum qualification PhD in Life Sciences and/or an associated discipline
• Superior technical and application knowledge of life science methodologies and data management software
• Proactive and passionate about maintaining a high standard of support
• Superior presentation and training skills
• Molecular Biology background- qPCR
• Western Blotting and imaging
• Experience with Bio-Rad instruments/software is highly advantageous
