The Account Manager position will be responsible for:
- Manage direct sales and indirect distributor sales to achieve business objectives and ensure customer satisfaction within the designated territory in the Life Sciences & Healthcare domain.
- Achieve high customer satisfaction and strengthen brand equity through effective relationship management and service excellence.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Achieve sales, marketing, and financial objectives for assigned products and territories.
- Execute business initiatives to drive sales growth and improve profitability in line with team targets.
- Responsible for conduct regular visits to current and prospective customers, a minimum of 90% of time is expected to be spent in the field.
- Responsible for ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction by coordinating across internal departments and supporting customers throughout the entire sales cycle—from pre-sales to post-sales.
- Collaborate with Product Managers/Specialists to develop and implement sales strategies, execute marketing plans, and manage relationships with key opinion leaders across the product portfolio.
- Should be well versed with government procurement processes, including Rate Contracts, GeM, and Tendering procedures.
- Prior field sales experience in the life sciences sector is preferred.
What You Bring:
- A minimum of a Graduation / Post-graduation in Biotechnology / Life Science / Biomedical / Science with Biology
- Minimum 4-6 years of proven sales experience in the Biotech / life science industry with working knowledge and relationship in Key Research Accounts of the region.
- Proven successful sales track record and key account management experience.
- Experience of collaborative work in cross functional domain i.e. Marketing, Service and Application team.
- Excellent technical and practical knowledge of technologies used in Life Sciences
- Proven ability to prepare, implement and monitor business/marketing plans
- Accurate forecasting capability.
- Develops a strong, realistic sales pipeline.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, communication, influencing, problem-solving and negotiation skill.
- Proficiency in using SFDC, Microsoft Office, and other sales tools.
