  • Overview

    The Inside Sales position will sell Bio-Rad's diverse and extensive line of scientific products to life

    science research customers. The role will focus on the account management of customer institutions in

    remote locations.


    It will also focus on expanding business generated by inbound sales inquiries. The

    position will work closely with the North American field sales and marketing teams. This position offers

    a sales career opportunity with a stable company working in an office-based environment. Enterprise

    systems, sales tools, and extensive training are readily available to facilitate job duties.


    • Prospect into new and existing customer accounts via e-mail and phone to generate new business.
    • Promote and direct business to strategic sales channels, including on-site stocking, B2B, and online.
    • Periodically attend life science research trade shows and/or conferences.
    • Become knowledgeable in and implement the selling skills techniques selected by the North American Selling Division.
    • Learn and diligently utilize SalesForce.com to determine territory strategy, develop business, and manage contacts.
    • Collaborate with other inside and field sales representatives to ensure successful closure of qualified leads.
    • Receive and manage incoming sales inquiries via e-mail and phone, documenting inquiry, generating quotes, providing appropriate products based upon information obtained during the correspondence. 


    • 4 year undergraduate degree in Science or related field.
    • Masters or PhD desirable.
    • 2+ years’ work experience in a professional environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Previous sales experience is preferred.
    • Excellent written and verbal/telephone skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills.
    • Strong analytical skills to analyze territory data and technical information.
    • Ability to perform independently and as part of a team.
    • Skilled in Microsoft Office.
    • Good organizational and time management skills.
    • Knowledge of basic life science laboratory practices and procedures.
