    Join a team with global responsibility to define, develop and deploy Best Practices in Material and Process Quality across all Bio-Rad manufacturing sites.

     

    In this role you will: Utilize direct and indirect resources to develop standardized practices, enable business systems to support those practices, and monitor compliance to standard business practices across GSC. Work with IT, SAP COE, Global QA and GSC-Procurement to enable and support quality improvement initiatives. Stay abreast of industry best practices in Quality and assess applicability to GSC.

    Responsibilities

    • Evaluate industry and Bio-Rad Best Practices to identify global standards for manufacturing process monitoring and improvements.
    • Implement a process capability/certification program to drive the reduction of Bio-Rad inspections.
    • Standardize the use of manufacturing risk management tools such as Statistical Process Control (SPC).
    • Establish appropriate measurement and monitoring programs to drive product quality data collection and analysis throughout the product cycle.
    • Develop and deploy global policies, procedures and standards to drive efficiency and improve the reliability of our quality processes.
    • Develop systems and metrics to monitor compliance to those global standards.
    • Extract and analyze quality data and drive the implementation of actionable quality metrics / dashboards throughout GSC.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's or equivalent experience level in Manufacturing, Biochemistry, Life Sciences or a relevant discipline.
    • Sufficient technical and quality experience (5+ years) in a manufacturing operation, preferably within healthcare or related industries.
    • The candidate should have experience working directly with suppliers to resolve technical issues, with demonstrated success.
    • Prior experience with manufacturing process control, data collection, SPC programs and web-based dashboard tools is highly desirable.
    • In addition, the candidate should be able to articulate a strategy for driving continuous improvement in the supply chain, and reduce internal costs through supplier quality management.
    • Prior Lean/Six Sigma and SAP experience a plus. Six Sigma Green Belt certification or higher preferred.
    • ISO 13485, ISO 9001, or similar industry QMS requirements strongly preferred.
    • Must demonstrate an ability to work effectively in a matrix environment where some functions are shared, and communicate effectively with internal and external customers and stakeholders.
