    Bio-Rad Laboratories is looking for a Front End Web Developer.


    • Develop new user-facing features.
    • Translating user interface and user experience designs to dynamic visual elements.
    • Ensure the technical feasibility of user interface designs.
    • Optimize the application for maximum speed and scalability.
    • Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end.
    • Generating small user interface assets within a design framework established by designers.
    • Working with back end and full stack engineers to integrate the front and back end components of the application.
    • Delivering fully validated and tested code, including unit tests where applicable.
    • Working with SQA engineers to ensure that software can be tested by automated integration tests.
    • Reviewing peers’ work and contributing to overall team design discussions.


    • 3+ years of experience in web application development
    • Expert understanding of CSS, HTML5, including knowledge of current best practices
    • Proficient understanding of CSS preprocessors
    • Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as as Gimp or Photoshop is a plus
    • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
    • Proficient knowledge of JavaScript
    • Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
    • Experience building applications that consume RESTful APIs
    • Experience with build tools such as Yarn.
    • Experience in agile and dev ops environments and cultures.
    • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools including Git.
    • Understanding of the principles of automated testing platforms and unit tests.
    • Nice to haves:
    • Design and UX experience.
    • Proficient understanding of React, Redux and Immutable.
    • Experience with environments that use CI/CD principles.
