At the Digital Biology Group (a division of Bio-Rad) we use microfluidic chips to generated nanoliter-sized droplets as reaction vessels to power a extremely precise digital nucleic acid measurement method (droplet digital PCR). Now that we’ve solidified our market lead in digital PCR, we’re expanding into new applications for our core technology. We believe our partition technology creating hundreds of thousands of droplets will open up new avenues in basic life sciences research and will become a new paradigm in life science research and clinical diagnostics markets.
At the heart of our digital technology is the ability to control and modulate biochemical reactions within a stabilized aqueous droplet in fluorocarbon-based oil. The biochemical reactions range from highly multiplexed nucleic acid amplification reactions to multistep next generation DNA sequencing sample preparation. To achieve these ends, we have a highly engaged and talented product development team
If you’re a Product Development Senior Scientist who thrives on pushing back the boundaries of the unknown; relishes the opportunity to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment; and, thrilled by personally taking your ideas from white board to full product release, please read on!
