  • Overview

    The SAP Training Project Manager is responsible for the development of course learning components for Global Information Technology (GIT), SAP and related projects, including:

    • Develop project plans and learning materials for GIT
    • Develop training strategy, curriculum and approach for various GIT project
    • Maintain, update and publish training materials in IT systems
    • Evaluating and continuously improving the materials and learning components


    • Create, implement and execute project charters, proposals, and timelines to achieve business goals.
    • Run regular cross functional team meetings and prepare meeting minutes and follow up tasks.
    • Track project progress against timeline, budget , and scope and prepare monthly summary for management.
    • Manage critical path items and successfully remove team roadblocks.
    • Leverage interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive working relationships with functional groups throughout the organization.
    • Use strong project and organizational knowledge, leadership, and facilitation to enable effective team meetings, focus groups, and/or steering committee meetings as required.
    • Liase with business partners to determine business requirements.
    • Develop and maintain SAP training curriculum and strategy as required for assigned process area
    • Design and develop SAP learning components and additional data or other materials
    • Edit SAP training materials per approved requirements after initial implementations or project launches
    • Load materials into LMS system and maintain assignments
    • Update materials in other tools as required, such as Solution Manager, Validated Livelink, Google Suite, etc.


    • This role requires project management experience with ERP (preferrably SAP) systems, and training and development
    • Experience with SAP; Microsoft suite (Project and Excel required) and Google suite of products.
    • Bachelor degree, technical field preferred
    • Project management experience in IT is highly desirable.
    • Experience authoring technical training documents is highly desirable
    • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, analytical/problem solving skills, negotiation skills, cross-functional leadership skills and goal setting skills required.
    • Must maintain a strong balance between technology and business acumen with a deep desire to deliver business value to the organization.
    • Ability to prepare and manage a detailed project plan; excellent project management skills including task and milestone planning and tracking
    • Ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously and indpendently, while maintaining attention to detail and adapting to changing environments.
    • Ability to work within and across multiple workstreams, across all organizational levels and across geographically dispersed regions and divisions.
    • Ability to think strategically and creatively in leading project teams through obstacles and/or finding best path forward.
