  • Overview

    The QC Chemist I position will perform activities related to the review and release of in-process batch records for Quality Control.  

    Responsibilities

    • Review batch records for completeness, cGMP and compliance with related SOPs. 
    • Ensures associated Quality Notifications and RTR's are appropriately dispositioned prior to release of batch records. 
    • Responsible for maintaining production calendars to ensure communication of priorities and release of materials to meet schedule commitments. 
    • Responsible for evaluation of final product, intermediate products and raw materials according to standard operating procedures.
    • Evaluate assay data for validity.

    Qualifications

    • BA/BS in Life Sciences, related field or equivalent work experience that would provide knowledge in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Clinical Chemistry, or Microbiology.
    • 0-2 years related experience in similar function or industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Experience that includes an emphasis on working in a cGMP/QSR/ISO regulated industry is preferred.
    • Experience with document review preferred.
    • Requires strong communication skills and ability to work cooperatively and professionally with cross-functional teams.
    • Interpersonal skills including proven success in social interactions where situations require tact and cooperative relationships.
    • Basic knowledge of laboratory apparatus.
    • Must have initiative and ability to learn new tasks quickly.
    • Proficient with MS Word and Excel.
