We currently have an opening for a Research Associate III in our R&D department. If you feel your skills and qualifications are a fit, we would love for you to join us! Bio Rad is in search of a motivated and qualified individual to join our Research and Development team. This position provides an exciting opportunity to enjoy working in a collaborative research and development environment supporting R&D, Operations and Marketing assignments focused on delivering  our customers specialized and highly technical quality control products for in-vitro diagnostic and blood screening assays for the detection of infectious diseases. 

    Responsibilities

    • Plans and performs moderate to complex experiments to support development of new quality control products for use with in vitro diagnostic infectious disease assays and helps facilitate timely completion of multiple projects following established milestone and target dates
    • Participates in product improvement and enhancement efforts
    • Assists in the design, execution and documentation of laboratory experiments and involved in the organization, technical analysis and summation of experimental data
    • Provides support in the preparation of developmental pilot lots for new products and product improvement formulations.  Assists in the coordination of in-house and clinical laboratory evaluations and validations
    • Maintains accurate and complete Research and Development records and laboratory notebooks
    • Supports Technical Service, Manufacturing and Marketing efforts as required.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum:    Bachelor and/or Master Degree in a related life science or technical discipline
    • Preferred:    Bachelor of Science in Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology or related field
    • 1 to 3 years industry experience in an FDA-regulated environment, preferably IVDs
    • Working with potentially infectious human pathogens in controlled laboratory conditions
