    Position Summary

     

    Reporting to the Pacific Marketing Manager;

    • Champions the success of Bio-Rad’s protein portfolio across both life science and diagnostic markets through acting as a reference point for all aspects of the product lines. Agile in response, works to quickly resolve issues that may arise.
    • In conjunction with key stakeholders, plans, co-ordinates and implements activities relating to product introduction, deletion, market segmentation and specific campaigns through sound product lifecycle management.
    • Manages marketing activities to enable growth in new and existing market segments. Achieves marketing objectives by developing, communicating and implementing the annual tactical marketing plan.
    • Conducts frequent competitive analysis to support pricing and positioning decisions in key markets.
    • Develops relevant sales tools to promote the advantages of Bio-Rad’s solutions in the marketplace. Provides relevant guidance to sales and support teams to generate qualified leads and raise brand awareness.
    • Manages Key Opinion Leader relationships, reference sites and test sites across clinical and research markets

     

     

    Job Responsibilities

     

    Planning

    • Takes steps to maintain Bio-Rad’s understanding of the micro and macro-economic factors impacting on the business, and includes these elements in a well thought out, annual marketing plan.
    • Works with local and AP marketing teams to drive strategic initiatives and, deliver local tactical marketing plan for the business in order to achieve specific commercial objectives.
    • Implementation of the marketing plan to relevant products and adapt, as needed, to changing market dynamics across research and clinical segments.
    • Researching and reporting on local market opportunities.
    • Responsible for all product related planning, including monthly inventory planning and management

     

    Implementation and Driving

    • Manage and drive the growth of relevant business units and overall profitability of the divisions.
    • Identify market opportunities and address different customer segments with right product mix.
    • Ensure events are well planned and deliver desired outcomes, including MQLs in SFDC, with follow up, to ensure MQLs have been acted upon by sales.
    • Develop and measure the tactical marketing plans for the Pacific region by monitoring ROI

     

     

    Market Share

    • Enhances market share in identified market segments and/ or focus products
    • Collaborate with the Pacific Marketing Manager and commercial team to identify and develop new markets for existing product lines
    • Responds to competitive activities in a timely manner by actively monitoring, reporting and implementing effective tactics.

     

    Market and Product management

    • Ensures Bio-Rad pricing policy is adhered to and aligns with key pricing objectives
    • Develop proper and up to date competitive strategy through good, validated, market intelligence
    • Understanding and targeting current and potential customers and market base.
    • Provides accurate forecasting, inventory management to support the growth of key product lines.

     

    Customer Relationship

    • Managing the customer journey (customer relationship -KOL management)
    • Enhance the Bio-Rad brand across life science research and clinical markets
    • Develop innovative channel to ensure positive customer engagement
    • Develop relationships with KOLs

     

     

    Sales Tools and Training

    • Develop local sales tools that reflect the market and customer values and evaluates their use.
    • Work with sales manager and sales support manager to develop effective training plan and evaluating the level of sales, sales support competencies

     

    Communication

    • Provide timely and effective communication with the commercial team with guidance from key stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective implementation.
    • Provide regular communication with sales managers and FAS team for marketing activities, campaigns follow-up to help increasing selling effectiveness.
    • Facilitates regular communication CTS and FAS teams for relevant product technical issues

     

    Administration

    • Provide monthly reports to the Pacific Marketing Manager
    • Ensure compliance adherence to company policy and guidelines.
    • Delivers effective campaign management and lead capture through

    salesforce.com and market

    Education

     

    • Minimum: Tertiary qualifications in bioscience /  biomedical
    • Desirable: Marketing / Business qualifications or desire to obtain

    Experience:

    • Minimum: Excellent marketing skills ; technical and practical knowledge in both Life Sciences and Clinical Diagnostics-  Minimum 3 years of relevant  experience
    • Desirable: Proven ability to prepare, implement and monitor business/marketing plans
    • Desirable: Good working knowledge of life science and clinical diagnostics markets including diabetes testing
    • Desirable: Knowledge of the ‘Sales Process’
    • Desirable: At least 5 years experience in the respective country/region life sciences/diagnostics market
