  • Overview

    Bio-Rad is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor II.


    • Supervises maintenance according to established company guidelines.
    • Inspect the manufacturing equipment on a regular basis to ensure it is functioning properly and safely; work with the engineering staff to ensure any equipment issues are immediately attended to and effectively solved.
    • Develops and maintains a preventative maintenance schedule program for applicable equipment and machinery.
    • Guides safe implementation of maintenance activities including LOTO, Safe Work Permits, etc.
    • Manages work order process (assigns work/reviews completed work/close work orders/file).
    • Manages procurement work process for equipment, supplies and services.
    • Manages site services and contractors and training (calibration program, equipment and facilities repair, etc.)
    • Manages site equipment files and procedures records and documentation.
    • Ensures customer service level, cost and quality efficiency are maintained.
    • Meets maintenance financial standards by providing annual budget information; monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions.
    • Identifies improvement opportunities and recommends changes as needed.
    • Develops strategy to meet business goals and schedules according to plan.
    • Assists with establishing annual budgets. Tracks expenses against budget and controls expenditures.
    • Perform related SAP transactions
    • Responsible for direct reports talent development by providing leadership, performance management, assignments and training.


    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or related field.
    • Three or more years manufacturing or maintenance experience, preferably in a regulated environment.
    • Two or more years of supervisory experience.
    • Strong knowledge of working with equipment vendors and sourcing of spare parts and replacement equipment.
    • Develops methods and techniques of troubleshooting, repairing and installing plant equipment.
    • Supervises, coaches and trains personnel in their duties.
    • Monitors employee performance, prepares and communicates performance reviews.
    • Computer skills in relevant applications.
    • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
    • Ability to communicate write clear comprehensive reports and communicate effectively in cross functional teams and to senior management.
    • Strong written and verbal communication.
