    We are looking for a motivated person to become part of a fast-paced team here at the Digital Biology Center at Bio-Rad, where we're changing the world by pushing the boundaries of research and diagnostics with Droplet Digital PCR.

     

    The molecular diagnostics market is evolving quickly with both internal and external forces that drive aggressive timelines and high expectations to deliver quality solutions to customers. We are looking for a product manager that can manage through challenges that arise in product development – timelines, technical risks, vendors, and shifting regulatory requirements – with professionalism and a positive attitude.

     

    The person filling this role will have the opportunity to drive both new product development and outbound

    marketing initiatives for a high- growth product line with clearly defined goals, objectives, critical success factors, timelines, budgets and action items. This includes translating voice of customer into product portfolio strategies and actionable requirements to bring new products to market.

     

    We are seeking someone with a strong knowledge of the molecular diagnostics marketplace and a demonstrated ability to commercialize products into multiple regulated markets.

    Responsibilities

    • Managing the product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities
    • Support on Market products with new tools internally and externally.
    • Design and implement tactical marketing plans.
    • Develop and implement sales marketing materials (brochures, presentations, etc).
    • Acts as subject matter expert on assigned product line by assisting Bio-Rad customers and Bio-Rad sales personnel with product questions.
    • Develop and delivers product line training programs
    • Manages product line pricing, gross margins, and forecasting and inventory.
    • Travels with field sales to gain customer, competitor, and market insights.
    • Travel up to 25% of the time.

    Qualifications

    • B.S./M.S. in Life Sciences, Business or Medical, PhD highly desired
    • 2+ years of product management experience.
    • Good understanding of molecular biology techniques including PCR/qPCR/dPCR.
    • Knowledgeable in cancer research field, preferably with direct experience.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to achieve goals through plan development and execution.
    • Ability to organize and participate within cross-functional teams.
    • A self-starter, independent thinker as well as a team player.
    • This position may require travel to customer and non-customer sites in North America and Europe (25%).
