    We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Sales Specialist to join our Life Sciences Sales team, based in either Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.

     

    Our ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, committed, and have a customer centric attitude towards everything you do, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing all opportunities for instrument sales in the Cell Biology division.

     

    This position is responsible for:
    • The sale of strategic (Flow cytometry and BioPlex) capital equipment within the Life Science Division
    • The implementation of a sales management plan for the relevant products
    • Exceeding customers’ needs and expectations in the defined territory
    • Meeting and exceeding sales targets

    Responsibilities

    • Achieve 100% or better of sales targets per annum for strategic instruments
    • Achieves number of calls per day/week/month as directed by direct manager, by spending at least 60 - 75% of time out of office visiting current and prospective customers
    • Develop and implement an effective Territory Management Plan
    • Demonstrate competency in customer sales calls, conducting talks/seminars/demonstrations/presentations
    • Provide pricing, quotations, tenders and samples within agreed guidleines
    • Develop and Demonstrate a good understanding of each customer and their business needs
    • Delivers required reports as well as follow up on leads from Marketing/Sales in a timely fashion, as well as sharing sales leads
    • Responsibility for maintaining comprehensive, up-to-date customer records in SalesForce.com (SFDC)
    • Demonstrated business acumen in a selling environment including an understanding of P&L and effective objection handling.

     

    Qualifications

    Essential
    • Tertiary qualifications (BSc Hons)

     

    Desirable:
    • Post graduate qualifications in science, preferably in Life Science
    • Membership of relevant associations and learned societies

     

    • A minimum of 5 years sales experience preferably in the Life Science market, experience in Capital equipment sales essential
    • A Life Science or related degree and Minimum 3 years’ experience working with Flow cytometers (analysers and sorters) either as a main tool in a research project, or as a flow cytometry facility manager
