  • Overview

    Responsible for the manufacturing of quality control products while following pertinent batch records, SOPs, and company policies.

    Responsibilities

    • Work within a team environment under the direct guidance of a manufacturing lead.
    • Perform machine change-over, disinfection, set-up, breakdown and cleaning.
    • Operate Fill, Cap and Label production equipment according to appropriate SOPs/WDIs.
    • Execute production equipment change-overs on a regular basis and with high level of consistency.
    • Use analytic balances, including programming, measuring tare/gross weights and printing.
    • Identify process improvements that drive increased efficiency, throughout and quality.
    • Execute required in-process product quality checks and document accurately according to AQL standards.
    • Understand and run processes to meet the assigned production schedule and deadlines.
    • Complete documentation associated with manufacturing processes (e.g. batch record and logbooks) with detail and accuracy.
    • Perform repetitive tasks on a daily basis requiring lifting (<40lbs), bending, twisting, pushing and pulling.
    • Work with biological materials (blood, serum, plasma and blood).
    • Ability to accommodate a flexible shift schedule and overtime on certain days of the week.
    • Maintain acceptable housekeeping standards.
    • Meet daily, weekly and monthly production goals.

    Physical Demands/Work Environment:

    • Regularly required to reach with hands and arms and have dexterity. May frequently be required to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
    • The noise level is moderate and the work environment is a production/manufacturing environment.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
    • Previous experience in a medical device/pharmaceutical GMP manufacturing environment is preferred.
    • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations (additon, subtraction, and multiplication)
