    Your new position:


    A new permanent opportunity for a Buyer.  In this role, you will raise and place Purchase Orders with external suppliers and service providers.

    Maintain key data such as delivery dates, lead times, pricing.
    Resolving invoicing queries, and problem solving discrepancies in quality, quantity, price and delivery.
    General office administrative duties.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Inventory Management – Manage stock requirements across different locations / Raising of appropriate Supplier Purchase Orders.
    • Maintaining and providing availability information to Customer Service and other internal customers, expediting deliveries from suppliers and in-house production where appropriate.
    • Resolving invoice queries & problem solving
    • Sourcing quotations from suppliers
    • Office administrative duties, including routine departmental procedure review and update.
    • Management of Sage data.

    How you will succeed:

    • Minimum 2 years’ experience within a Purchasing or Procurement environment required.
    • Experience in the Life Science industry desirable.
    • Microsoft Office, especially Word & Excel.
    • Business systems used in an ERP/MRP environment
    • Organised and resourceful, high attention to detail, ability to work to demanding targets and tight deadlines.
    • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
    • Must have minimum GCSE in English and Maths, although A level qualifications or Life Science degree preferable.
    • CIPS trained desirable

    Office based 9.00 - 17.00 - 5 days a week
