    The Life Science Research Group within Bio-Rad is looking for an enterprise-grade commercial web designer with strong front-end technical skills to support the design and execution needs for our website and digital marketing assets. This role is an individual contributor reporting into the Customer Experience Marketing Global Team.


    • Support the strategy for the Life Sciences Research group by focusing on the customer experience on the web channel, from design to functionality, to A/B testing and optimization of online content.
    • Work with business stakeholders and translate their needs/concepts into finished designs.
    • Develop and implement solutions for tough design and UX problems.
    • Create assets for online marketing programs such as Display, Social, or Programmatic Advertising.
    • Create new ideas with our digital team and continually iterate on the customer experience.
    • Take full ownership of projects from design to implementation and deployment, ensuring a high level of quality including: market pages, migration of microsites to the bio-rad.com site, optimization of content for mobile experience and deployment of landing pages linked to global marketing campaigns.
    • Analyze existing content and identify ways to improve impact and optimize effectiveness
    • Work cross-functionally with SEO, web, product marketing, and design teams to brainstorm and prioritize content ideas
    • Interview subject matter experts and develop relevant and useful content


    • Experience working with a CMS environment (OpenText TeamSite, in particular).
    • BA / BS degree required.
    • Extensive experience with wire-framing page designs and converting those designs into standards compliant HTML/CSS/Javascript.
    • Experience working with dynamic ad production and comfortable with JavaScript.
    • Extensive experience working within the Adobe Creative Suite of tools.
    • Fluent in HTML (HTML5 a plus) and CSS development in accordance with W3C standards.
    • Experience creating assets for online marketing programs such as Display, Social, or Programmatic Advertising (static and animated assets) including responsive and/or mobile ads.
    • Comfort working within predefined brand and content frameworks.
    • Familiarity with WCAG is a plus.
    • Excellent written communication & copywriting skills.
    • Motivated to solve problems in unique and innovative ways.
    • Desire to make things beautiful, and a strong understanding of usability and visual design.
    • Strong creative intuition.
    • 3-5 years’ experience in web design.
