    Bio-rad is looking for a Global Compliance Manager to support its global organization. The Global Compliance Manager is responsible for (i) managing compliance programs and processes which detect and prevent illegal or unethical conduct and (ii) promotes an organizational culture that encourages ethical conduct and a commitment to compliance with law. This role reports to the Chief Compliance Officer.

    Responsibilities

    • Management of a small team of compliance professionals.
    • General administration of a global ethics hotline.
    • General administration of the systems supporting Bio-Rad's global anti-corruption program.
    • Conducting internal investigations relevant to the Compliance Department and under the direction of the Chief Compliance Officer.
    • Oversight of global records management program.
    • Oversight of a global conflicts of interest program.
    • Oversight of a global transparency laws compliance program (including the U.S. "Sunshine" law).
    • Providing live compliance training to Bio-Rad personnel.
    • Acting as a communication conduit between the Chief Compliance Officer and all other key business functions in the region, actively promoting a culture of integrity and responsibility.

    Qualifications

    • Passion for compliance and ethics – as well as process efficiency.
    • Ability to communicate in a transparent and timely manner.
    • Experience working for a US-listed enterprise in a compliance, audit, or legal department.
    • Familiarity with anti-corruption and anti-bribery laws (like the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and the Federal Anti-Kickback Statute); legal concepts around compliance programs; and the AdvaMed Code of Ethics on Interactions with Healthcare Professionals.
    • Ability to communicate effectively (orally and in writing) and influence varied stakeholders.
    • Experience participating in internal investigations focused on fraud and corruption.
    • Experience auditing against fraud and corruption standards.
    • Demonstrated ability to define challenges, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
    • Demonstrated ability to train employees at all levels using PowerPoint and other training methodologies and adjust communication style according to the audience.
    • Basic knowledge of life science and clinical diagnostics industry.
    • Ability to read contracts and understand obligations of parties.
    • Ability to interpret policies, contracts, and laws and apply them to Bio-Rad business activities.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Comfort with Excel, Concur, SAP, SalesForce.com, cloud-based apps, Microsoft Project.
    • 6 or more years of experience in a compliance or legal function - or comparable job duties in another function.
    • Bachelor’s degree.
    • Law degree or MBA preferred.
    • Certification in Healthcare Compliance preferred.
